Ode to the selfless lover

I love rose, the moon, the rain and rainbow;
Being the source of my joy, and an end to my sorrow.
These objects of nature may occupy a big part of my heart,
But my love for you will be hard to describe,
once I begin to start....

You are more beautiful than a rose,
As a rose withers one day or the other, But you will dwell in my heart forever.
You are more marvellous than the moon,
As the moon is superseded by the sun, But your place can be taken by none.

You are more soothing than the rain, As the rain doesn't pour everyday,
But I will always hear an echo of whatever you say,
You are more amazing than a rainbow, As a rainbow vanishes after a while, But you add colours to my life
by always making me smile...

No matter how distant I am and how steady is my departure,
My love for you will remain the same my dear mother,
Today, tomorrow, and forever....
